Generations: Developing Legacies of Good Character & Citizenship
A priority outcome of Boys & Girls Clubs is helping to develop young people into engaged community members who model strong character. During the summer of 2013, every branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming family participated in service projects to jointly benefit the community and help kids internalize the value of such service. These transformational experiences were as varied as the kids’ personalities themselves. Through a group “getting to know you” project, our members connected with residents of the Meadow Wind Assisted Living Community in Casper. While there, Club members developed relationships with the seniors by playing board games, and reading and singing campfire songs with them. As service opportunities enrich our community and those who participate, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming believes that the development of strong character and citizenship is one of the keys to our youth achieving great futures!
